Become a Volunteer

For most people, who can see, to read a newspaper is part of their way of life.

For those with a visual handicap, or who cannot hold a newspaper due to a physical disability, having news available on an audio cassette tape can make a big difference to their quality of life.

RTN is a registered charity that relies entirely on donations to produce news tapes, updated on a weekly basis, to anyone with the above disabilities living in the Rotherham area.

We need Volunteers to help with:

  • Packing and Unpacking
  • Rewinding and Erasing
  • Bar-coding and Despatching
  • News Editing
  • Reading and Recording
  • Copying and Testing
  • Fundraising

Rotherham Talking Newspaper exists because of its wonderful and enthusiastic Volunteers. Without them we would not exist.
